Screen Excellence & 3D

3D is becoming popular, and its recent improvements make it even comfortable to watch for the average duration of a movie. However, all 3D technologies are far from equal.

• The old Anaglyph technology is nearly gone
• The Polarized glasses technology has been around for a few years.
• The Real D technology is an improvement over the polarized glasses technology,
  but grounded on the same basis
• The LCD shutters technology is one of the two most advanced solutions
• The Infitec technology is the other most advanced solutions (also known as Dolby 3D)

In our opinion, only the two last technologies are able to provide more than a funny effect, and allow a complete viewing of a movie with an improved suspension of disbelief. However, some other technologies will most likely appear in the coming years (or months).

As a screen manufacturer, we have made our choice : The widest compatibility is provided by the technologies which are not requiring screens with specific coatings, known as « silverscreens ». Fortunately, this is the case of the LCD shutters ans the Infitec technologies which are, in our opinion , the best available today.

All Enlightor fabrics are fully compatible with all the 3D technologies which are not grounded
on polarization
