ACOUSTICALLY TRANSPARENT FIXED FRAME SCREENS

When designing a dedicated Home Theatre the Screen Excellence REFERENCE fixed frame screen will provide the ultimate in both image and achievable sound quality.

Fundamental to the design of this screen is the unique Enlightor 1 AT screen fabric. Developed to meet the needs of digital projection, Enlightor fabric uses a proprietary woven structure eliminating the unacceptable moiré effect produced by fixed pixel projectors when shown on conventional perforated or micro-perforated screens.

Screen Excellence’s Enlightor 1 fabric is held under permanent tension by a rigid aluminium frame. The 9.4 (3.7″) cm wide frame is coated in a black velour finish and combined with a secondary light absorbing edging to create the perfect black border.

Rather than using more conventional press studs the Enlightor 1 fabric is affixed to the frame by means of a self tensioning groove system. Once locked in place its spring tensioning ensures the fabric is evenly supported and free of any ripples. With such attention to details the REFERENCE Fixed Frame screen garantees a totally flat projection surface.

Integral to every Screen Excellence REFERENCE screen is an acoustically transparent black backing; this woven material is fixed, as a secondary layer, to the back of the Enlightor fabric and completely absorbs any rear wall light reflections. The black backing also has the added benefit of improving the image contrast.
